📦 Shipping & Delivery Guide

Shopping online in Korea is incredibly fast and efficient. Services like Coupang's "Rocket Delivery" can deliver items the very next day (even on weekends!). Here is what you need to know to get your packages safely.

1. Korean Address Format

Correctly formatting your address is crucial. Korean addresses are typically written from largest unit to smallest.

Standard Format (Road Name Address)

City/Province > District (Gu) > Road Name & Number > Building Name/Number > Room/Suite Number

Example:

Korean: 서울특별시 강남구 테헤란로 123, 101호
English: Rm 101, 123 Teheran-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul

Tips

Use Korean if possible: Delivery drivers are local. Writing the address in Hangul helps prevent errors.
Search by Road Name: Most sites use the "Road Name Address" (도로명 주소) system.
5-Digit Zip Code: Korea switched to a 5-digit zip code system. Make sure you use the new one.

2. PCCC (Personal Customs Customs Clearance Code)

If you are ordering from overseas (Amazon, AliExpress, iHerb), you MUST have a PCCC.

Without it, your package will be stuck at customs.

3. Entering Delivery Requests (배송 요청사항)

Most Korean shopping apps let you leave a note for the driver. This is very common and useful.

Korean	Meaning
문 앞에 놓아주세요	Please leave it in front of the door. (Most common)
직접 받고 싶어요	I want to receive it in person.
경비실에 맡겨주세요	Please leave it at the security office.
택배함에 넣어주세요	Please put it in the parcel locker.

4. Tracking Your Package

Domestic: Use apps like CJ Logistics, Lotte Global Logistics, or the shopping app itself.
International: Use 17TRACK or the Unipass website (Korea Customs Service) to track customs clearance status.

5. Returns & Exchanges

"Simple Change of Mind": You usually have to pay for return shipping (typically 5,000 KRW - 6,000 KRW round trip).
Defective Item: The seller pays for shipping.
Timeframe: Usually within 7 days of receiving the item.
