📋 PCCC Guide (Personal Customs Clearance Code)

A Personal Customs Clearance Code (개인통관고유부호) is a unique ID required by Korean Customs for anyone importing goods into Korea (e.g., buying from Amazon, AliExpress, iHerb).

• It starts with the letter P followed by 12 digits (e.g., P123456789012).
• It replaces your Resident Registration Number (RRN) or ARC number to protect your privacy.

Why do I need it?

• Mandatory for clearing customs for personal shipments.
• Without it, your package will be held at customs indefinitely.

How to Issue Your PCCC

You can get it instantly online. It's free and permanent.

Step 1: Visit the Unipass Website

Go to the Korea Customs Service Unipass website.

Step 2: Select "Foreigner"

Click on the Foreigner (외국인) radio button if it's not selected.

Step 3: Verify Identity

You have two main ways to verify:

Method A: Mobile Phone Verification (Recommended)

1. Enter your Name (as registered with your phone carrier).
2. Enter your ARC Number (first 7 digits or full).
3. Click "Verification" (인증).
4. Follow the SMS verification prompts.

Method B: Public Certificate

• Use your Korean bank's joint certificate (formerly Gongin Certificate).

Step 4: Enter Details

Once verified, fill in:

• Name
• Phone Number
• Address

Step 5: Issue

Click Issue (발급). Your code (P...) will appear in red. Save this code!

Using Your PCCC

• Amazon/iHerb: Enter it in the "Customs ID" or "PCCC" field at checkout.
• AliExpress: Save it in your shipping address under "Customs Clearance Information".
• Korean sites (buying from overseas): Enter it in the 개인통관고유부호 field.
